Independent, continuously family owned Rose Jewelers has served the Hamptons area for over 70 years and three generations. Rose Jewelers features a selection of quality, classic and contemporary jewelry and gifts.
Rose Jewelers is proud to be a member of the American Gem Society and the Jeweler’s Vigilance Association – two industry organizations that focus on high standards and ethical business practices.
In 1945, Harry Rose decided he’d had enough of life as a traveling salesman selling jewelry on credit. So he purchased a small jewelry store on East Main Street in Patchogue. Harry put to work the knowledge and expertise he’d acquired during his years on the road. Not only that, he made the mission of his new firm to give his customers personal, individual attention as well as the finest quality jewelry, watches, clocks and gift merchandise.
Harry passed down his philosophy to his sons Robert and Murray Rose and the business flourished. At one time, Rose Jewelers operated five stores. Realizing that maintaining the tenets of highly personal service was impossible with so many outlets, the family consolidated into one location in Southampton. Murray has since retired, and Robert passed away in 2009. Rose Jewelers remains in capable family hands under the direction of Robert’s daughter, Jan Rose.
Rose Jewelers has changed with the times, too, while staying true to the principles that guide it. The store’s decor, company logo and website underwent major overhauls to reflect Jan’s leadership – a gentler, more feminine, contemporary style. Coming soon, customers near and far will be able to purchase items directly from the website www.rosejewelersny.com. The company ventured into social media and has a presence on Facebook www.facebook.com , Twitter www.twitter.com and Instagram! Jan and her family are active members in the Southampton community and believe strongly in giving back – to both Southampton Hospital and Brookhaven Hospital, along with many other local charities.
Rose Jewelers remains committed to personalized service, quality workmanship and distinguished products that will last a lifetime and beyond. We attribute our staying power – and even our growth over almost 70 years – to our strong family pride and enthusiastic and loyal employees. Most of all, our ability to navigate the sometimes stormy waters of business is the result of almost three-quarters of a century of satisfied customers.
